Hello stampers! We’re pleased to kick off this week by welcoming the wonderful and talented Debby Hughes to the blog. And joining her today? Some cute-as-can be critters. Yes, Monday just got better. Enjoy!
Hello it’s Debby here today and I’m delighted to be joining you at Hero Arts for a little hedgehog love with the Playful Animals set combined with a couple of the new Lia Griffith Collection stamps; Woodgrain and Friends.
I fell in love with the Playful Animals set as soon as I saw it and the hedgehog stood out to me as so fun to colour. Here’s a video showing how I made the card.
If you are having problems viewing the video, please try watching HERE on YouTube.
The hedgehog is stamped on a scalloped label cut from white card with the Tag and Label die and coloured with Copics (see the supplies list for colours). The label is mounted on a Stitched Square cut from patterned paper and in turn mounted on Fog card white heat embossed with the Woodgrain Bold Prints By Lia. The hello circle is from the Friends By Lia set and is stamped with the Ombré light to dark peach ink pad. Finally the panel is accented with Pale Pink Accent Pearls and a twine bow before being mounted on a card base covered in toning paper.
Once I’d made the card and had all the supplies out I had to make a tag too.
Here’s the two together. Cute right?
But I couldn’t stop there and before you knew it I had a whole family of hedgehogs!
Thanks for joining me and my little hedgehog family today :D
Raise your hand if you’re suddenly feeling inspired to stamp and color this week. We encourage you to give it a go…and while you’re at it, enter our current Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for a chance to win one of several Hero Arts shopping sprees.
BIG thanks to Debby for being our guest, and to you for stopping by. Have a great day!
