Hello everyone! Have you seen new Hero Arts Paper Layering Dies? I had the pleasure of playing with them back in August and I have to say – I am so excited about these! The Paper Layering Pumpkin Die is perfect for Halloween, Thanksgiving or simple Autumn cards.
These paper layering dies work wonderfully on one layer projects. You can still use them for multilayer cards, but I find simple one layer window-type cards to work best. In order to create the card I’m sharing today I started by stamping a background using Floral Bold Print background stamp by Lia in Butter Bar ink on Sunshine folded notecard.
Next I die cut the pumpkin design and folded the die cut pieces out along the score lines (these score lines are created by the die when the design is being cut) to create a pumpkin for my card. I used a bit of foam adhesive to secure the flaps in place and add some dimension to this project.
In order to dress this card up I used flowers from the Stamp & Cut Flowers set, stamped them in Butter Bar and Soft Vanilla ink colors, cut out using a matching die and foam mounted onto my card. I also stamped several leaves and branches using Cup O’ Joe ink and added a simple Thank You sentiment on top.
As a one final touch I embellished my card using a few pewter metallic decor dots.
By the way, there’s a quick video explaining how new Paper Layering Dies work, be sure to check it out below to learn more!
Have you tried these new dies from Hero Arts yet? I’d love to know!
