Hi, it’s Kelly here! Today I’ve got a card to share that fits in with our current Nature Challenge.
Sympathy cards are the one type of card that you never know when you’ll need. They can also be the hardest ones to make because the normal cheery messages and images we tend to use just don’t work. I like to always have a couple on hand, so I don’t have to rush and make one last minute.
For me, a lot of white space and a clean and simple style work best for sympathy cards. The Stamp You Own Plant set has some great leaf images that are perfect for these types of cards. And by adding some shading to the leaves with watercolor paints, I was able to really make the images pop.
Having a stamp dedicated to creating sympathy cards can also help a lot! And our new With Deepest Sympathy stamp fit just perfect!
Thanks for joining me today — have a great weekend!
