Hello, and a very happy Monday to you. Today I have a shaker gift tag to share with you, along with a quick photo tutorial to show you how I created it. Here’s a picture of the finished tag:
And now for the instructions. First, die cut a tag from grey cardstock and another from acetate. Stamp the ‘Ho Ho Ho’ sentiment from Peace & Joy in black ink onto the grey tag.
Next, stitch together the grey and acetate tags, but be sure to leave an opening… Then fill the tag with sequins and beads. The beads help create a bit of a hollow behind the acetate, allowing the sequins to move about more freely.
Stitch up the opening, then pull through the threads on the reverse of the tag. Add some twine, and tape everything securely in place.
Stamp the little elves from the Elves by Lia set twice onto white card, and once on red patterned paper. Cut out the different elements as shown here:
Adhere the elements together to create a layered effect. Add some glitter glue to the scarves.
Once dry, adhere the elves to the front of the tag, adding sequins to their hats.
Die cut another tag from white card and stamp messages from the from Peace & Joy set in black ink. Adhere to the reverse of the grey tag.
Shaker tags are a fun and interactive way to brighten up gifts. This one is going to be attached to an envelope containing money for my niece – a bit more interesting than a plain envelope, right?
Thanks so much for visiting,
