Today I’m sharing cards I created for the 2016 Winter Catalog. The woodblock “destination” stamps have been some of my favorites this year. They are so cute, look completely awesome on my shelf in my craft room, and stir up happy travel memories of so many of the great cities in our beautiful country. So when I saw the cute little accessories the stamp designers created to give these stamps a holiday feel, I honestly squealed! Now I can stamp Santa flying his sleigh over my favorite cities!
These cards are extremely simple. I just watercolored a blue wash onto some watercolor paper. Once dry, I stamped the various cities (pictured here are San Francisco and Los Angeles) in Intense Black ink, and added Santa’s Sleigh flying across the sky. I added just a touch of coloring to Santa and his reindeer to make them pop. Then I stamped and fussy cut the Merry Christmas Banner. I used the Rectangle Infinity Dies to create a frame on my card, and attached the banner across the frame.
Here’s a closer look at these stamps. Santa’s Sleigh is quite tiny and just plain adorable! And of course, both the sleigh and that fabulous Merry Christmas Banner can be used on cards and projects that don’t even include the destination stamps!
Thanks for stopping by!
Simple, but stunning cards! So festive and cozy!
Love your cards. The Santa stamp is one of my favorites. I’ve been using it to decorate my Christmas card envelopes.
adorable
These are terrific, Libby! Such a fun way to send personalized holiday wishes!
Wonderful stamps & memories. I have a Washington DC one and this has inspired me to use.
