Hello there, it’s Kelly Purkey here and today I’m happy to be sharing a little photo tour of the mini album I made using the new Clearly Kelly wallet system. This was designed to for you to personalize for whatever you need it for – whether that’s a mini album full of photos, an art journal, a planner, a inspiration book, or whatever you can dream up. It’s completely customizable and made to work with the rest of the Clearly Kelly products.
I see myself using the wallet system to make a lot of mini albums this year, especially for travel photos and memorabilia. It’s easy to document one trip into this little wallet. Here’s a closer look at the mini album I put together of a weekend trip to Nashville. The “bones” of my album are the outside wallet album, one 3×4 plastic insert, one 4×6 plastic insert, and a booklet of paper (replaced with the grid booklet.) I pulled out the clear and wood block Clearly Kelly stamps and went to town!
The two plastic inserts slide easily to fit inside the outside wallet album and I decided to fill them up with a variety of goodies from my trip. The pockets in the 3×4 insert are perfect for holding 3×4 cards or Instax photos. You can also tuck business cards from the places you go into them. In the 4×6 pocket I put a postcard and cut down a piece of a cool menu I wanted to save. I love that there is a place to house all these things I picked up on my trip.
I printed out some 4×6 photos and adhered them directly to the pages of the booklet, which has cover flaps that slip right inside the pockets of the wallet. Adding in Instax photos and other details to some of the other pages of the booklet, it all came together in a snap. I used the Clearly Kelly Outline letters, Bold Font, and Shadow Letters to make titles for my pages with the names of the places we went. I also added a lot of sentiments using the Food Coma, Take Note, Destination, and Daily Life sets. It’s fun to mix + match these all together.
The outside of the album is clear so you can add in whatever paper or embellishments that you want to use. I cut down a large piece of patterned paper and slid it inside the outside wallet album, then adhered some tags onto the front. I love that all of the Clearly Kelly alphabet stamp sets are sized smaller so you can add them onto mini projects like this. I wanted to add a way to close up the album, so I used a paper piercer to poke two holes through all the plastic layers of the wallet and added some twine to wrap around the entire thing. Voila – Nashville adventure documented!
There are so many more ways to customize an album like this, the possibilities are endless. I’m excited to see what you use the wallet system for and how you combine it with the new Clearly Kelly stamps! The collection has already begun shipping to stores and will be available in the Hero Arts Online Store February 24th.
Thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to come back tomorrow for a Clearly Kelly giveaway!
