Christmas Joy Tag

I love to give my friends and family pretty packages that are wrapped with a homemade touch. To make this possible during the busy holiday season, I always like to have a stack of tags on hand to tie on those last minute gift bags, boxes and jars that are headed out the door. So today I have a festive Christmas tag to share that is easy to reproduce with minimal supplies.

Christmas Joy Jar by Kelly Rasmussen for Hero ArtsI started off by stamping the word “joy” in Ruby Red Ink onto a white circle. I used the coordinating word die to create a mask from some masking paper and carefully placed it over my stamped word.

I knew I wanted just a few red and pink images scattered throughout the background, so I started with those to make sure they were evenly spaced apart. Then I used a bunch of Lia's gorgeous green inks to fill in around the word with small images from the CL902 Build a Wreath by Lia set. I love using tiny images like this to build a background — it’s almost like putting together a puzzle!

Pair the jar with a cute mug filled with chocolates and you have yourself a great gift for a neighbor, teacher or friend!

Thanks for stopping by today!
